2025 Land Stewardship Volunteer Workdays

Volunteer stewardship workdays at John Muir Land Trust

Join JMLT’s Stewardship team for a monthly volunteer workdays focused on restoring a variety of habitats within JMLT properties. You’ll gain hands-on experience with common stewardship techniques, from weed abatement to plant identification. While working to boost biodiversity, you’ll also learn about the native and non-native plants that call Fernandez Ranch home. This series is a fantastic way to connect with other nature-loving folks, build community, and get a behind-the-scene look at what JMLT’s stewardship team is up to! 

2025 Stewardship Volunteer Days

  • Weed abatement at Harvey Ranch, Saturday, January 11, 9am – 12pm

  • Weed abatement at Almond Ranch, Sunday, February 9, 9am – 12pm

  • Planting at Fernandez Ranch, Saturday, March 8, 9am – 12pm

Event details

What to bring/wear:  closed-toe shoes, layered clothing. water, sunscreen, a snack. Tools and gloves will be provided.

What to expect: We will be pulling weeds, touching up trails, and prepping a site for future planting. Rain cancels.
