*Grow More From One Tree: An Introduction to Grafting: April 17th
One tree. Multiple fruits. It sounds like a trick — but it’s one of agriculture’s oldest and most practical arts.
Join us at Family Harvest Farm — JMLT’s working farm in Pittsburg, California — for a hands-on workshop on plant propagation and grafting. You’ll learn why grafting has shaped fruit growing for centuries: preserving heirloom varieties that might otherwise disappear, and making it possible to grow apples, pears, or plums on a single rootstock.
By the end of the afternoon, you’ll understand the how and the why — and you’ll leave with the skills to try it yourself.
Please bring your own lunch or snack, work gloves, sun protection, garden kneeling pad, layered clothing, and water bottle.
Must be 18 years or older or attending with a parent or legal guardian.
