Earth Day Workday at Family Harvest Farm

Earth day work day at Family Harvest Farm

Hosted by John Muir Land Trust, the Contra Costa Resource Conservation District and Mt. Diablo Resource Recovery

Come volunteer at Family Harvest Farm, John Muir Land Trust’s thriving urban organic farm located in Pittsburg, California where youth and adults participate in a local regenerative food system. Work alongside farm staff and other volunteers for a creek cleanup, weed pulling, mulching, and other farm activities. The day will start off with a tour and orientation followed by getting your hands dirty. Lunch is from 12:30-1:00pm and the day wraps up at 2pm.

Please bring your own lunch or snack, water bottle, layered clothing, close toed shoes, work gloves, sun protection, garden kneeling pad, and water bottle. If you have your own trash pickup bucket and/or trash grabbers, feel free to bring them. We will have some supplies on hand for those who don’t bring their own.

Must be 18 years or older or attending with a parent or legal guardian to attend. Volunteers must show proof of COVID-19 vaccination.
