Pacheco Marsh Field Trips

A Living Outdoor Classroom in the Bay Delta

Bring your students to Pacheco Marsh

Pacheco Marsh is a restored tidal wetland in Martinez that offers students hands-on learning in ecology, climate science, history, and environmental stewardship. As John Muir Land Trust's first Bay Delta project, it provides a powerful real-world example of how communities restore and protect vital ecosystems.

Students experience a thriving marsh set against an industrial shoreline, with views of refineries, passing ships, and the Benicia-Martinez Bridge—bringing together environmental science, history, and land-use discussions in one place.
