Franklin Ridge Wildflower hike

Join JMLT on a guided scenic hike through Franklin Ridge, where springtime bursts with a dazzling display of wildflowers. Immerse yourself in the beauty of these native blooms, learn about their crucial role in the ecosystem, and discover how you can contribute to their conservation. This is a perfect adventure for nature enthusiasts and anyone seeking a dose of floral wonder.

Hike Schedule:

  • Sunday, April 14: 8am – Noon (In Spanish)
  • Saturday, May 4: 8am – Noon

Hike Description: This 7-mile moderate to difficult hike offers stunning panoramic vistas of the East Bay. We’ll begin at the Mount Wanda Trailhead and ascend to the Almond Ranch gate, continuing up to the ridgetop. From there, we’ll traverse the Kenneth Gerlack Preserve and pass by Sky Ranch before descending back through Almond Ranch and Mount Wanda. Along the ridge, we’ll have a chance to admire Barnett Ranch to the northwest.
