Get out on the land.
Help us care for it.

Volunteer days are open to everyone — no experience needed. Come pull weeds, collect seeds, document wildlife, and leave knowing you’ve made a difference.

8:00–11:00 AM  ·  Pacheco Marsh

Pacheco Marsh Bioblitz & Volunteer Day

One year of the marsh — come celebrate

Pacheco Marsh opened to the public one year ago. In that time, we’ve watched it come alive — birds, native plants, and wildlife returning to a landscape that’s been years in the making. Come celebrate with us, and help us keep it that way.

The morning has two parts: a guided bioblitz walk to document the marsh’s species, followed by hands-on iceplant removal. All skill levels welcome.

Part 1 · Bioblitz Walk

8:00–10:00 AM

We’ll explore the marsh with iNaturalist, documenting every plant, bird, insect, and critter we can find. Staff will share what makes Pacheco Marsh ecologically significant. Approximately 2 miles, flat, open terrain — no shade.

Part 2 · Iceplant Removal

10:00–11:00 AM

We’ll close the morning with an hour of hands-on stewardship. You’ll learn how JMLT manages invasive species across our properties — and leave having made a real difference.

What to bring
