Come hang out with JMLT and Columbia Sportswear for Winter Trails Day on Saturday January 12th. There will be food trucks, music, community booths, and loads of sportswear for sale! This event is to inspire the East Bay to get outside this winter and enjoy all of the marvelous trails that surround us!

Willow Staking Work Party

Join John Muir Land Trust to plant willow trees at Fernandez Ranch. Get your hands dirty! Rain cancels. We will be cutting willow tree branches from the creek and staking the cuttings in the soil; this method is called live willow staking. Trail Run with Martinez Beavers Running Club

The Martinez Beavers Run Club (MBRC) was established in 2017 as a way to bring people together through a shared interest in running. Everyone is welcome to attend the events: road/trail, 5k/ultramarathoners, residents/non-residents. Have fun, meet amazing people and experience all of the cool things Martinez has to offer! Spring Birding Hike – Almond Ranch

Mt. Wanda Trailhead, Martinez, CA 94553
Join Mt. Diablo Audubon Society and John Muir Land Trust to spot birds and learn about the Campaign to Save Almond Ranch. Free and fun for the first 25 guests—RSVP necessary. The moderate 3.5 mile hike begins steeply and levels out with vistas of the Carquinez Straits. Surrounded by grasslands and oak woodlands, various species of woodpeckers, hummingbirds, flycatchers and many more have been seen here. Please RSVP and contact with questions.
