Individual Giving Manager
Karen joins JMLT as a 15-year resident of Walnut Creek and honorary Californian. She grew up among the bayous of south Louisiana, and spent many years in San Francisco and Washington, D.C. Despite loving city life, she has grown to adore the rolling hills and ridges of Contra Costa County, which she explores with friends, her two teenage sons and their German Shepherd Axel. Karen brings years of experience as a journalist, political professional and fundraiser. Karen oversees JMLT’s high-impact donor program -- providing leadership, guiding strategy, and cultivating relationships with individuals who support our ambitious campaigns of land acquisition, conservation and stewardship. She holds a degree in Journalism from the University of Louisiana-Lafayette. When not hiking and working, Karen can be found voraciously consuming all things sci-fi, watching too much TV, tweeting, podcasting about pop culture and scaling indoor rock walls around the Bay Area.
Frances joins JMLT after retiring from Wells Fargo Digital Services in 2015. She brings four decades of corporate and government experience, and is preparing us for the next generation of data management. Frances has lived in Contra Costa County since 1980 after moving from Los Angeles, and currently resides with her husband Tim and their cat Leo in Walnut Creek. Even as a Los Angeles-area native, Frances enjoyed the outdoors --- camping in Yosemite, riding horses, and exploring the hillsides of Southern California. When not working, you can find Frances traveling with her husband, writing short stories, at the movies, or browsing a used book store in the East Bay.
