Protecting Creeks & Streams

Water is the foundation for all life on earth — a fragile resource that must be sustainably managed. Drinking water shortages due to drought and pollution pose an ongoing threat to our community. Thankfully, our wetlands filter toxins and store excess water. Streams shape the landscape and transport vital nutrients. Ponds and lakes support a rich diversity of life. Groundwater reserves filter and store drinking water. These watershed lands throughout the East Bay, crucial to our future, are protected by JMLT.
